Where's the coffee from?
We source our green coffee from all over the world. Everything comes home to us here in Vancouver, Canada, where it’s small-batch roasted for maximum flavour and freshness.
What's your decaf?
We use Swiss Water Process coffee - a chemical-free decaffeination process that gently removes 99.9% of caffeine using only water, temperature, and time. Science, but making it tasty...
Why are the beans wet?
The shine that you may see on the beans are natural oils. Coffee beans will release oil during the roasting process. The darker the roast, the more oil will be released from the coffee beans. It’s natural and part of the magic of roasting.
Is it gluten-free/nut-free/dairy-free?
Yes! Our facility only handles coffee. Tasting notes like “milk chocolate” or “roasted nuts” are just flavour descriptors, no actual allergens inside.
why do you only sell whole bean coffee?
We ship whole beans only for peak freshness and flavour. Trust us, it’s worth the ten seconds with a grinder.
What kind of coffee should I order?
Great question! Start with our medium roast Street Legal or dark roast Vice - they’re our customer favourites for a reason. Coffee preferences are highly subjective, so try out different coffees and discover what you like (and don't like). Any tasting notes on our coffees are our observations during the initial tasting of the coffee.
Can the bags be recycled?
Not yet, but the Orange Bag is made from post-recycled materials. Doc’s working on more sustainable options. Stay tuned.
